Joanne Domenici

I have danced pretty much all my life. I started out with ballet at the age of three. After college, I wanted to take an exercise class to stay in shape, and ended up taking a belly dance class instead! That was in 1974, and I have been dancing ever since. Starting in 1976, I worked as a professional dancer in the middle eastern clubs in the Pasadena and Los Angeles areas. I still dance at parties, weddings, fund raisers, etc.

Currently, I dance as a member of a middle eastern dance troupe, Sahira. Our group won the Belly Dancer of the Universe competition in the group category in 2002; we continue to dance all around the LA area. I love belly dancing - it is a classical, beautiful, feminine dance with a long and storied history. It is enjoying a rebirth of popularity right now, and is a terrific form of low impact exercise. I am excited to be teaching; it is one of my favorite things to do!
Roberto Almaguer

As the principal dancer from Cuba National Ballet, Roberto has performed extensively with the company throughout the world under artistic director Alicia Alonso. His repertoire of dance includes almost every ballet from the Classical menu.

In 1989 Mr. Almaguer obtained Gold Medal in a International Ballet Competition in Peru. Award winning choreographer of the 2005 edition of YAGP. Guest choreographer of the LA opera, and the Teatro Real of Madrid, Spain.
